This is a subject that really gets me excited. I think the Politicians and Media don't have a clue. In this case I blame it mostly on the Media. Our unemployment rate is so much higher than what most Media outlets would ever report to the public. Basically I feel this is partly due to the fact that they are out of touch, and the fact that there are NOT a lot of real journalist that are willing to challenge the establishment. I have listened about how much Job Growth we've had over the last few years, and always thought what in the world are they talking about. I am sure most people would remember many politicians saying the fundamentals of the economy is very good, or we have been experiencing strong growth. Neither of these have been true for at least 6 years.

I ask the Media to PLEASE stop accepting what Politicians say and start looking into the Facts. I have been saying for many years, "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE FACTS ARE; IT ONLY MATTERS WHO CONTROLS THE INFORMATION". This is certainly true when it comes to Politicians, or anyone that wants people to think a certain way. The current unemployment rate is not reflective at all of the actual REAL unemployment rate. The fact that the Rules of Calculating it has changed should have been enough to get the Media to keep a close eye on what was actually happening. However, many of them were so busy buying into the BOGUS Democrat & Republican Politician Ideology which says there are two sides to everything. There is NOT two sides to the unemployment rate, and it has nothing to do with how people feel. You either have a job or you don't. It is sad and humorous, when I hear the Media repeat BOGUS unemployment numbers based on the Administrations twisted unemployment rate.

Let me try to help everyone understand how the numbers are totally wrong. First, how many people actually count as unemployed. If someone has been unemployed for a long period of time whether it is because you stop looking or you just could not find a job, THEY DON'T COUNT. Previously MOST Part-Time employees didn't count as fully employed so they could be Part of the unemployment rate, now THEY DON'T COUNT. People that never counted as part of the employment rate or have been out of it for awhile like High School Grads, College Grads, Ex-Convicts, Ex-Business Owners, Ex-Stay at Home Moms & Dads, even though they may need work more than ever, THEY DON'T COUNT. We don't even want to get into all the people that make money in various other ways that may need a Job now, because they can not make a living anymore, whether what they were doing was right or wrong, THEY DON'T COUNT. Basically as a self described PATRIOTIC American, I believe EVERYONE THAT DOESN'T have a Job SHOULD COUNT! Again, I mostly blame this on the Media, because the Politicians will try to get away with masking any issue that the Media lets them. The people's voice is mostly heard through the Media, especially since demostrations against mis-information usually gets the demostrators labeled with many unflattering terms. So now more than ever, we need the Media.
