First let me say I am not a racist by choice. I do believe being a racist is a character flaw and is unpatriotic. That being said I do NOT feel there is anything wrong with being a racist. I think people have a right to feel and to be however they like as long as it doesn't involve violating the law or anyone's rights. Some people do not like their neighbors or even family in many cases, so how can we expect people to love other ethnic groups. I think it is all about Respect and Civility. We may never all love each other, but we can show Respect and Civility toward each other. Racism is not what caused Blacks or African Americans a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in America. That was the fault of criminals. People that violated the laws and our civil rights are unprosecuted criminals. If you are a racist that just doesn't want to be around or talk to other Ethnic groups, who cares that is your right! If you are a racist that violates people's civil rights or commits crimes against others, you are a criminal, being a racist is irrelevant.

Actually some racist organizations as a group that tried to accomplish and did accomplish in some cases to destroy the Blacks or African American communities were the original terrorists. They were terrorizing Black or African American communities before much of terrorism even existed in a worldwide sense. So, were these racist organizations or criminal terrorist organizations? I would say they were unprosecuted criminal terrorist organizations. What do you think?

I think that we should try to remove the word “racist” from much of our vocabulary because it seems anytime the word “racist” comes up, we LOSE! For example, if you were a Black or African American motorist, and you get stopped and hit up side your head by a White or European American Police Officer, that was a CRIME not racism. Basically if you call it racism the debate begins. Now the crime is overshadowed and you begin to debate whether it was racism or not, you LOSE! Actually it could be called racism but as soon as you say it is racism, you LOSE! If you stick to a crime was committed, you have a better chance of receiving some type of justice. Maybe that is not fair because you should be able to call it whatever you want and still receive justice; but that is currently not how it works in the real world. Think about it. For example, a person should be able to walk down a long dark alley in a large city at midnight without getting mugged, right? Or just because a woman is in a dark park at one a.m. in the morning by herself doesn't mean she should be raped, right? Of course these things should not happen and are crimes; however, we need to be aware of some of the conditions that are currently fact and deal with them the best way we can, right?

I have noticed that some people that get into situations which seem to have a racist element will sometimes steer away from calling it racism or calling the person a racist. They would say something like, I am not sure if this has anything to do with racism, I would like to assume it does not. I would just like to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else, and justice is served! I personally think this is an excellent way to handle a situation you can not prove is racist. Actually I think it is an excellent way to handle a situation you know is racist, because it would deflect the attention away from a debate about racism and possibly serve justice.

Please don't take my writing the wrong way. Of course it is something wrong as far as character when it comes to being a racist; however, that is a personal problem just like there is something wrong with being an angry person or a liar, etc., etc. However you have the right to be a racist, an angry person, or even a liar as long as you don't commit a crime.

I think people that are racist need help. They are racist because of some insecurity they have and need a NON-racist person that is in their inner circle to address the issue of racism with them for the betterment of themselves and American society. Maybe if you have a friend that is racist and whenever they make a racist comment, you could ask them to try to work on changing that behavior.
